Brief: The client wanted an extension to the main house, which was of architectural interest, design led and provided a light and airy space. 

 

Functionally, the new extension needed to accommodate a utility room, shower room and garage / bicycle store.

Mansard Builders worked with this client to design and subsequently build the extension, incorporating oak ‘A’ frames in the vaulted roof and a fully glazed gable end wall.  The oak ‘A’ frames are complimented by oak purlins and solid oak flooring.  The result is a spectacular clear span room that has both light and warmth; the perfect entertaining space.

The utility room includes both fitted and free standing kitchen units and a hand built cupboard.

We have gone on to complete other projects for this customer.

Reference: Andrew Gibbs was inspirational initially with his ideas for the extension. The plans were drawn up and the quote produced. It was thorough and well-thought out.  The builders began on schedule.
